Frequently Asked Questions

What is maps?

What do we strive for?

MAPS stands for the Multicultural Association of Pre-Health Students. We are under the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), which contains over 170 chapters and over 240 MAPS chapters in the United States. Our goal is to inspire and encourage students of all backgrounds to pursue their passion for the professional health field of their choice. MAPS has supported students that have gone to medical school, dental school, veterinary school, and so much more!

As a pre-health multicultural organization, we strive to create an inclusive community that helps our members achieve their personal and pre-health goals. We fulfill this by providing our members with the opportunities such as leadership, volunteering, shadowing, workshops, networking, and so on. Overall, our main goal is to promote a diverse, familial environment of pre-health students within the UCF community.
